With the beginning of fall upon us, I had to start bringing out my fall nail polish colours. I wanted to highlight some of my favourite fall polishes over the coming weeks. First up is China Glaze’s Strike Up A Cosmo.
The polish itself is a gorgeous pink-maroon-gold shimmer shade that changes its’ colour in different lighting. The shimmer is very fine with no added glitter pieces with some shimmer being a light rose gold and some a maroon shade.
It applies very smoothly and you can get away with a single coat. I still choose to apply two to achieve a very opaque, even look.
Now these pictures of it on my nails are after 5 days of wear that included a lot of hand washing and typing on my computer. The great wear may be due to my Seche Vite top coat, but I typically don’t get 5 days of wear with other polishes + Seche Vite. There really is only tip wear and that’s due to my long nails.
I always receive a ton of compliments when I wear this polish. I think it’s because of its’ very unique colour and appearance. I really think this a great polish that I keep coming back to again and again.
Keep an eye out for more posts on my favourite fall nail polishes and what do you think of my more rounded, longer nail shape? I’m really enjoying it and have found that my nails are breaking a lot less than when I had them squared.
til next time…
