The metallic trend continues on Mani Monday today. Make sure to check out my metallic fashion pieces post if you want to see some affordable clothing and accessories perfect for the holidays.
For this mani, I started with Chanel’s Peridot as the base.
Peridot is one of my most favourite Chanel polishes I own. I purchased it when I first moved to Toronto for school. In a lot of lights it reads an antiqued gold but in certain lights it pulls very green/teal (which I captured in the photos below). It’s a microshimmer/metallic polish that is opaque after two thin coats.
I topped it off with OPI’s Pirouette My Whistle which is one of my favourite glitter polishes. It has small silver glitter mixed with matte silver hexagonal glitters. It goes with almost any polish colour or finish. I really like the contrast of the silver and antiqued gold in this mani.
Don’t be afraid to mix your metallics on your nails or in your wardrobe. There are no rules anymore when it comes to metals nowadays!
til next time…
