Topbox: February 2015

Well you’ve heard that I’ve cancelled my Birchbox this month and my Glossybox last month. It seems like I’m taking out my beauty boxes one-by-one. Well, except for Topbox. A Canadian beauty subscription program that costs me just under $14 a month and delivers 4-5 products ranging from makeup to skincare to haircare. It’s my favourite beauty subscription and have no plans of cancelling.

This month I opted for the regular Topbox as I do really enjoy the surprise factor. Keep reading to see what I received!

Eyeko Hydrogel Eye PatchConcentrated anti-stress and anti-fatigue ingredients treat the delicate eye area by visibly diminishing dark shadows and puffiness, leaving skin hydrated and firm.

I received something last month from Eyeko (really not enjoying these duplicate brands…) but these eye patches are super cool sounding so I’m okay with the repeat brand I guess. These will be great once I’m back from my trip to New Orleans to relax and hydrate my skin.

Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing CremeIntense moisture therapy soothes seriously dry hands, leaving them noticeably softer and smoother. Andiroba oil and other plant hydrators protect skin’s moisture barrier, helping seal in softness through three hand washes.

Okay, no more hand creams please! I will use this eventually (maybe even bring it on the plane) but it’s not like I need another hand cream….

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Eye GelThis luxurious eye gel instantly brightens as it fights the signs of stress and fatigue around the eyes. Reinforces skin in the delicate eye area to reduce the look of existing fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.

Another repeat brand (c’mon Topbox, step it up!) but it seems like Topbox wants to help out my undereye area. It could use a little bit of help so I’ll definitely give this a try. Again, could be very useful after being on a plane for a few hours.

Be a Bombshell Lip Gloss in Hooked A lip gloss formula that offers long lasting colour and high shine.

This marsala-ish red colour (the company says it’s a dark mauve…..?) is stunning and the gloss is super pigmented. I haven’t worn it yet will probably use it to top off a brick red lipstick or just line my lips with a nude colour lipliner.

Now this wasn’t my most favourite Topbox but I will definitely try everything that I received. Hope that next month’s box is better (fingers crossed!)

til next time…
