Springtime Glow Essentials

Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer Review Dior Cheek and Lip Glow Review

The beginning of springtime is probably one of my most favourite times of the year. You start shedding those cumbersome layers, the smell of fresh rain, and the warmer temperatures all make me so happy. My makeup routine also changes at this time and I start incorporating brighter colours, sheerer finishes and add a luminous glow to all of my looks.

Two new products in my collection are definite must haves for my springtime makeup looks and add a glow and sheer colour to my face.

I was introduced to these products at the Dave Lackie Dior Backstage Pros event and instantly fell in love.

The Dior Glow Maximizer Light Boosting Primer is a multi-tasking staple for your makeup routine. It is a champagne-beige coloured primer with a stunning pearlescent-pink glow. It isn’t shimmery or glittery, it just glows. You can mix the primer in with your favourite foundation for an all over glow, apply the primer before foundation for a more subtle all over glow or you can apply this to the high points of your face after foundation. All three of these options give your skin this amazing lit from within glow but I have to say I like options 2 and 3 the best.

The Dior Cheek and Lip Glow is another multi-tasking product that instead of giving a luminous glow, provides a healthy flush to the skin. This lightweight, gel-like stain is a beautiful pink shade. It can be used on both your cheeks and lips. When used on the cheeks, it gives a very natural flush and is wonderful when paired with the primer. I apply 2-3 dabs after foundation just behind the apples of my cheeks then blend out with my fingertips. To soften the look even further, I take the brush I applied foundation with and lightly stipple over the blush. This really gives a natural flushed look. When I use this on my lips, I dab a couple of times across my bottom lip then press my lips together to transfer to the top lip. To blend it out completely, I take my finger and rub across my lips to make sure it is seamless.

It is probably one of my most favourite stain products that I have tried. You have a bit of time to work with it before it sets. The applicator is really cute too (kind of like the Clarins lip oil).
