Topbox: March 2015 Edition

Topbox March 2015 Review

Oops! March has come and gone and I haven’t talked about my March Topbox. This is the only subscription that I have stuck with for years and don’t plan on changing that anytime soon.

Medusa Makeup Lipgloss in Superstition – This is the thing I love most about beauty subscriptions – trying out unknown brands. This lipgloss is an all natural, cruelty free product that promises brilliant shine. In the tube, this looks much more orange which got me very excited as I don’t have anything like it.  However, once swatched you can see it is very sheer and looks more red in tone. That’s really upsetting in my opinion. The gloss isn’t overly sticky and doesn’t really have a scent.

B. Kamins Maple Sugar Body Scrub – This body scrub features a sugar based scrub that contains natural AHAs to exfoliate the skin both physically and chemically. It is also packed full of antioxidants and nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and mineral salts. I have yet to try this product out but will be nice when I’m travelling so I don’t have to lug around my big tub of scrub. Just as a warning though that this is very expensive – $50 for a 175ml jar.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Hair Therapy Moisture Kick Beauty Balm – Another new brand! This beauty balm for your hair is a styling balm that adds moisture and protects your hair against heat tools. Simply rub this through damp hair and then style. With colouring my hair comes dryness and damage so adding moisture is a must. Again I haven’t tried this yet but hope that it can help add more life to my hair.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara – I really wish brands would send samples of waterproof mascaras. I swear by them to keep my lashes curled as regular mascaras make them lose their curl within 10 minutes. This mascara does come in a waterproof version that I am very willing to try. It promises volume and lift to make your lashes look like falsies. There are two bristle types on the brush – flexible ones to maximize the amount of product applied and solid ones to comb through lashes to ensure a clump free look. All of this sounds awesome but we will see how my lashes respond to it.
