Mani Monday: Springtime Purple

Wet n Wild Wildshine Polish in Who is Ultra Violet? Swatch

Despite trying to cut back on my beauty spending, I ended up buying a few things this weekend while Rexall was having an Air Miles Bonus Points event. One of the first things that ended up in my cart was this stunning purple polish from Wet n Wild. I thought it was perfect for spring and summer as it’s so bright and cheery.

I had previously tried the Wildshine Nail Colors from Wet n Wild a couple of months ago so I knew that I should enjoy the formula. Plus I definitely don’t have a shade like this and I’ve been a bit obsessed with purple beauty items lately.

Who is Ultra Violet? is a stunning bright orchid purple shade. The polish did apply a bit streaky but mostly everything was even after 2 coats. I did find that this polish was a bit thicker than the other shade I have tried and this did make application a bit harder. It cleaned up easily around my cuticles which can be difficult for other purples I’ve tried. After a day of typing a lot and wearing gloves in the lab for a bit, I only have minimal tip wear which you can’t even really see in these pictures.

I did add an accent nail on my thumb and ring fingers with Revlon’s Moon Candy in Orbit. The flaky glitter pieces are a perfect match to this polish so it adds just a touch of sparkle.

I know I’ve been slacking in the actual nail art recently. I’ve just been so busy that I don’t even have time to think of an idea. Please leave ideas in the comments so I can get some inspiration for future weeks!

til next time…
