Life Update: Let the stress begin….

A little change of pace today on the blog. I had hinted last week that my blogging may slightly decrease in the near future because of some changes in my life. I wanted to share about this as a way of opening up to my readers and give a slight peek into my life as of right now.

Some of you may know that I am currently in school. I’m what you could call a professional student. I did two Bachelor degrees (one in Forensic Science and one in Medical Science and Biology) then started grad school after a year off. I began in a Masters program then after one year, I transferred to the PhD program in Pharmacology. I’m currently in my fourth year of the program and thought that I would be finishing up next June.

Well….life never goes the way you would like it to go or the way you expect it will go. A few weeks ago, I found out that I was going to have to finish up a lot sooner than next June. Try September. In a PhD program, you have to write a thesis (aka a huge written document/book) that summarizes the previous literature on your topic as well as your studies you’ve conducted during your time. I have until June 26th to write this thesis. Yep. Two months. That’s it.

Thankfully I work well under pressure but obviously this is not going to be a fun 2 months (except for the trip to Phoenix and San Antonio I’m going on).

I am going to do my best to continue blogging on a regular basis during this time. It’s most likely going to help maintain my sanity. I may even do some blog posts on managing stress, time management, beauty products staples for long days of work, stress relieving beauty regimes etc.

I hope to have you join me on this journey. If you want to hear about anything else about my schooling or how I’m handling this stress, just let me know!

til next time…
