Favourites: April 2015

I haven’t done a Favourites posts in a few months now. Why? Well, not too many things have jumped out at me. I’ve been keeping a pretty consistent routine with my makeup, unless I go out. I figured that the Favourites hiatus has gone on for long enough and forced myself to pick out my most reached for items.

ColourPop Cosmetics Blush in Prenup – I raved about this product and the brand in general a little while ago. I would say I wear this blush 4 out of 7 days a week right now. It gives a lovely flush to my skin and the tiniest bit of a glow because of its’ gel-powder formula. The fact that this retails for a mere $8 blows my mind all the time.

Dior Eye Reviver Palette – This palette had me at hello when I first saw it at the Dior Backstage Pros dinner in March. A perfect neutral palette that can create a multitude of looks. The 4th colour (the taupe-purple) is amazing and so gorgeous. I also love that it has a gel eyeliner in a deep brown at the end. You could easily just take this when travelling and not feel that your makeup looks the same every single day.

Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in 189 Rose Reve – Okay so this doesn’t have a ton of crazy pigment but it is the perfect gloss to top off basically any lipstick. It tones some lipsticks down while complimenting more natural shades. It feels great on the lips – thick enough that you know it will stay on for awhile but not sticky. I love using this by itself as well.

Elf Baked Eyeshadow in Toasted – This is definitely one of my go-to eyeshadows. It gives a little more than a regular neutral shadow. Pairs wonderfully with the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and then MAC’s Omega in the crease. I’ve even used it wet to create a more foiled look.

Yves Saint Laurent Dessin du Regard Waterproof Eye Liner – I received this awhile back when I went to the Sephora-YSL Masterclass event. OMG. Hands down one of the best black eyeliners I’ve ever tried. Super creamy and pigmented. Lasts in my waterline for at least 4 hours at full intensity then slowly wears away but you can still tell it’s there at the end of the day. I’m very hard to please when it comes to black eyeliners and this meets all of my needs.

It is a pencil! And that swatch didn’t even involve a lot of pressure. It just glides onto the eye effortlessly.

Fun picks! I’ve been hearing so much about colorpop, I can’t believe their items are so inexpensive! I’ve been loving using my too faced romantic eye palette which I’m just about to post about haha!

Would love if you checked out my blog. I just followed you!
