Subtle Copper with a Flush of Pink Makeup Look

Subtle Makeup Look

Today I have a very simple makeup look that I put together before going out for a drink with my friend. Just one of those days of playing with some makeup I had yet to use, forgot I had and that are my go-to items. A nice combination of items!

For the eyes I started with the Flower Beauty Cream Eyeshadow in Wild Geranium. It’s a pretty light coppery colour but I just don’t reach for it as I don’t like cream eyeshadows all that much. Thankfully it doesn’t crease though. I then took the Essence How to Make Nude Eyes palette* and ran Team Nude throughout the crease, An Eye On Apricot near the inner corner, and Eye Light Beige in the inner corner. To deepen the crease a bit more, I took Urban Decay Secret Service and also ran that along the lower lashline with a bit of Go for Gold from the Essence palette.

I did a little winged liner with my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Mad Max Brown, tightlined my eye with Lollipops Eye Liner in Goodbye Moon and then added a pop of olive green by running the L’Oreal Silkissime Eyeliner in Green Ivy in my lower waterline. I finished off the eye look with the Maybelline Colossal Chaotic Waterproof Mascara (super dry formula by the way….awesome if you love that kind of formula!). I used the Annabelle Skinny Brow in Universal Dark Brown for my brows.

For my face, I used the Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer then set that with the L’Oreal True Match powder. Added a bit of bronzer around the perimeter of my face, the Clinique Cheek Pop in Plum Pop on my cheeks (thanks Stephanie!), and Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop.

Finally for the lips I combined way too many products. I lined my lips with Essence Lip Liner in Cute Pink* then toned it down with a combination of the Rimmel Apocalips in Phenomenon, Buxom Lipgloss in Yoo Hoo and Teeez Lipgloss in Sheer Gold (in the centre of the lips). Ridiculous, I know.
