Mani Monday: Fun Halloween Nail Design

Halloween Nail Art Design 2015

I’m back! I know that it’s been very quiet on here for the past few weeks but now with school being over and me starting my new job, I can get back into blogging. Want to see what I’ve been up to the past couple of weeks while in Europe? Go check out my Instagram account or look up the #KDdoesEurope hashtag on there or Twitter.

Now Halloween is my favourite holiday. I love everything to do with the holiday and always enjoy dressing up and decorating my apartment. So this week, and next, I will be featuring Halloween themed nail art designs. For this week’s design, I went for a fun design that features a ghost, Jack-o-lantern and tombstone. You can even just pick one of the designs and use it as an accent nail.

A lot of this design simply requires a nail art brush. You can make the designs as simple or intricate as you’d like. The ghost and Jack-o-lantern are very simple designs and can help you practice using the nail art brush.

For the ghost and Jack-o-lantern, use the nail art brush and some black polish to create the faces on your nail.

For the pinkie finger, use the same nail art brush and some white polish and spell out Boo!

Lastly, for the tombstone, start with a dark grey polish as your base colour then with a nail art brush pick up a lighter grey polish and wipe off some from the brush and dry brush the polish onto the base colour. Repeat this with a black and white polish to create some dimension. Finally, complete the tombstone with RIP and dates with the nail art brush and black polish.
