Thoughts: Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream*

LANEIGE Water Bank Gel Cream Review

It’s always exciting when Sephora starts carrying a new brand. The latest offering at Sephora is LANEIGE which is a global Korean beauty brand. The brand offers hydrating beauty products ranging from cleansers to overnight masks. All products by LANEIGE feature mineral water scientifically engineered to hydrate, protect and revitalize the skin.

LANEIGE Water Bank Gel Cream Review

I was fortunate enough to receive the Water Bank Gel Cream ($42) through Influenster for review purposes and have been trying it out since I got back from vacation.

Now typically my skin is dry to very dry, however during my trip I found my skin to be much more normal, almost leaning to combination with an oily T-zone. The Water Bank Gel Cream helped balance my skin out in terms of moisture as I am no longer dealing with an oily T-zone. My skin does not seem parched or dry after using this, despite it being marketed for normal to combination skin. Now I don’t think that it will be sufficient during the winter for my dry skin but it would wonderfully on a normal-combination-possibly oily skin type.

The cream is very lightweight and absorbs into the skin very quickly. A slight cooling sensation occurs when you apply it but it’s very subtle. My skin hasn’t broken out since using this cream, if anything it has cleared up a bit.

We are entering winter so I feel that individuals with combination to oily skin would get the best results with this product during that season. But it would be great for dry to normal skin during the summer.

Have you tried anything by LANEIGE yet?

til next time…
