Laboratoires Filorga Sleep-Recover Radiance Set

Laboratoires Filorga Sleep-Recover Radiance Set Review

Do you have a skincare lover in your life and not too sure what to get them for Christmas? The Laboratoires Filorga Sleep-Recover Radiance Set is a limited edition skincare set exclusively at Holt Renfrew and Nordstrom that will help you check one person off your shopping list.

Laboratoires Filorga began in 1978, focusing on anti-ageing for both the medical profession and general consumers. The company was started by Dr. Tordjman who studied both aesthetic medicine and cellular biology. Products were formulated for sale to the general public starting in 2006 and include hydration products, peels, and photo-regeneration.

The Sleep-Recover is an anti-fatigue night balm which helps battle the signs of fatigue and make you look more well rested. Horse chestnut extract reduces under-eye darkness and puffiness while the NCTF improves hydration, increases collagen production and fights free radicals. All of this happens over night as you apply this before bedtime only. After a couple days of using this in combination with my normal skincare routine, I did find my skin was more subtle and even in tone. I didn’t see a huge difference in hydration but my skin hasn’t been super dry lately. I didn’t experience any irritation, even with using it in conjunction with glycolic and salicylic acid.

The C-Recover is a booster to this skin recovery process. It is a vitamin C concentrate which boosts collagen production and fights free radicals. The vitamin C also makes skin look brighter and radiant. Now as this is very concentrated vitamin C (8%), it is essential that it is stored in the dark, tightly sealed and kept in the fridge. Vitamin C does degrade rather quickly so this is a 7-day supply that you should use within that time frame. Think of it as a one week skincare boost or the equivalent of a juice cleanse for your face. The cap that is on the bottle actually contains a vitamin C powder which you add to the serum once you are ready to use it. Shake that all up, change over to the dropper then place in the fridge. This is a great way to prevent the vitamin C from being exposed to air and light until you are going to use it. Even after using this for 2 days, I noticed my skin looking better overall. Not necessarily brighter or more radiant, but just better overall. Storing it in the fridge is also a great pick me up in the mornings.

The gift set retails for $95 (value of $127) at Holt Renfrew (the Bloor and Yorkdale locations) and Nordstrom Ottawa and is limited edition promotion.
