So you’re stumped about what to buy for one of your friends for Christmas. You know she loves beauty items but is always pretty set in her routine. Take that knowledge and run with it a little bit. A lot of people won’t push themselves out of their comfort zone, so do it for them!
I’ve compiled some ideas of gifts that get someone to step out of their beauty comfort zone. You can even step out of your own box with these ideas as well.
So your friend loves skincare and has their routine down to a science. How about taking it one step further? Fountain is one of the many brands of Deciem, focusing on beauty supplements. The Phyto-Collagen Molecule combines collagen and hyaluronic acid to support new collagen production from the inside out. These supplements can be taken on their own or mixed in with water or juice. Your friend may not even know that these products exist so it makes for a really interesting present when paired with some other skincare goodies or relaxation items.
Continuing with the skincare loving friend, why not try and find products with unique ingredients, like this Skin Republic CoQ10 + Caviar mask. This mask in particular helps with hydration, repairing skin and introducing antioxidants. Other unique skincare ingredients to look for? Bee venom, gold, snail gel and chia seeds.
What about a trendy beauty item? This Knot Genie brush is very similar to the super popular Tangle Teaser but comes in a variety of sizes and colours. Other trendy or unique tools include the Beauty Blender, a cleansing brush like the Clarisonic, and the Kiss Instawave curling iron.
Lastly, a lot of us stick to very neutral makeup. Why not try and introduce some new colours to your friend’s world in their Christmas gift? How about a darker lip colour like the Arbonne Smoothed Over Lipstick in Dahlia or one of the ColourPop Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks. If they love eyeshadow palettes, choose one that has neutrals mixed in with colours. This provides a good middle ground where they will feel comfortable with the neutral shades and can experiment with the colours when they feel ready. A great example of this is the Cargo Shanghai Nights palette.
I hope these ideas helped you figure out those last minute gifts for Christmas. Maybe take some of them for the Boxing Day shopping you’ll do this year!
til next time…
