While I enjoy going to Sephora like any other makeup junkie, I can really appreciate a great online shop that is based in Canada. A few months ago, Scarlet & Julia opened up its digital doors offering a great range of beauty brands and items. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to try out the site and pick out some items that piqued my interest.
The first thing that caught my eye was the large selection of brands available on the site. From Eve Lom to Consonant to REN, there really is something for everyone. Also, there is the Beauty Outlet section which features beauty products with reduced prices. Right now, as I’m writing this post, there is a great deal on previously released Lise Watier makeup at almost 50% off and also great fragrance gift sets up to 80% off.
A bonus that I wasn’t aware of, is that you receive samples with each purchase. I received 3 samples with my purchase and I have to say that they were better than those that you pick on Sephora. Pleasantly surprised with this feature and it is a nice touch as free shipping is only after you spend $75.
I picked out the Cargo Shanghai Nights palette which is a great mix of neutrals and bold coloured shadows as well as the Skin Republic CoQ10+ Caviar Mask. Some other items on the site that interest me are:
Another perk of the site is that with each purchase you earn S&J Points. Earn 10 points for every dollar spent (unless you redeem points for that purchase) and get points for signing up and getting friends to join and make a purchase. You can redeem the points for product discounts or other benefits.
The mission of Scarlet & Julia is to provide the customer with an outstanding online beauty shopping experience by offering a wide range of the best products, the best advice, and the best deals. I can easily say that they are meeting these goals with my experience on the site thus far.
Make sure you check out the site the next time you have the urge to do some beauty shopping!
til next time…
