Haul: Chicago Trip Edition

Chicago Shopping Haul Chicago Beauty Haul

If you weren’t following me on social media this past weekend, you missed out on all my adventures in Chicago. I went to cross another 2 baseball stadiums off my list and of course I just had to do some shopping. I picked up a hat at each stadium and also did some damage at Target but I wanted to share all the beauty goodies I picked up while I was there. Make sure to let me know if you want any in depth reviews/tutorials/posts about any of the products shown. I can totally make that happen!

Chicago Beauty Haul Chanel Le Vernis in Marinière Best of Becca Blushed Radiance set

First off, I always buy a Chanel nail polish on a trip. With the switch over to the new, smaller longwear line, I was a little worried that I wouldn’t actually find a colour I wanted. But the elusive Chanel Le Vernis in Marinière ($28) was available at the Nordstrom that I went to and I knew that one had to be added to my collection. A beautiful deep marine blue that I am so excited to use in the coming days.

While at Ulta, I made sure to look for sets that I hadn’t seen before. I stumbled upon the Best of Becca Blushed Radiance set ($32.50) that is exclusive to Ulta. It features smaller sizes of 4 products: Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal, Mineral Blush in Flower Child, Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight Wand in Moonstone and Backlight Priming Filter. I’ve been wanting to try the Becca blushes for awhile now so this was perfect for me!

Chicago Beauty Haul elf Powder Blush Palette in Light Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon Ombré Blushes

Continuing to give my current blush obsession a fix, I picked up the elf Powder Blush Palette in Light ($6) which features 4 gorgeous shades that can be removed from the palette. I definitely want to pick up some of the other palettes available through elf so that I can customize the palette for future travels. I also found the Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon Ombré Blushes ($4.99) and picked up the shade In a Purple Haze to expand my shade selection in my collection.

Chicago Beauty Haul Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Blush Goddess

Okay I actually think I have a problem resisting blushes now. At Ulta, I found a Makeup Revolution section and loved the look of the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Blush Goddess ($10). There are 4 matte blush shades and 4 mineral blushes/highlighters. I’m already loving this palette and boy are the mineral ones shimmery!

Also at Ulta, I found a wall full of the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge ($6.99) which I can never find in Canada. Wanted to see how this compares to my beloved Beauty Blender.

Chicago Beauty Haul Nivea Olive Oil and Lemon Sonia Kashuk

Moving away from blushes, I picked up a few lip products. The Nivea A Kiss of Olive Oil and Lemon balm ($2.99) is another thing I can only ever find in Ulta. So I obviously picked up 2 of them. Probably my favourite scent of a lip balm and it works so well!

When I was in Target, I had to peruse the Sonia Kashuk section and remembered how much I enjoyed the Velvety Matte Lip Crayon so I picked it up in Raspberry Nude ($7.99). I am so excited to wear this colour during the warm months as it just screams summer to me!

Chicago Beauty Haul Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette

Last but certainly not least, I was able to get my hands on the Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette ($36.00) at Ulta. It was the last one on the shelf so it obviously meant to be! I have heard so many good things about this that I just had to have it.

I think I kept it to a really great selection of purchases and didn’t spend a ton of money overall. Hope you all enjoyed seeing what I picked up while on my trip!

til next time…

The becca set is such good value! :O And the peanut butter palette was in stores?!!! I went to ulta in seattle and it wasn’t there so i thought it was online only! I would have searched harder if i knew it was available in stores.

I’m so happy with the Becca set! Yeah it would be great if Shoppers upped their game to be more like an Ulta. We can keep wishing and dreaming though
