This past weekend I attended Generation Beauty, a beauty convention put on by Ipsy. One of the samples I received was a full size of the new Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer.
The Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer retails for $28 USD/$39 CDN (7mL/0.23 fl oz) and is launching on June 15th on TooFaced.com. I knew I had to give you all the details about it before it hit shelves!
To start off, this concealer is infused with coconut water to keep your skin hydrated, alpine rose to brighten and increase radiance, and hyaluronic acid to plump up the moisture in your skin. It promises to hide imperfections, cover dark circles under your eyes, and blur the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
The concealer is creamy but packs a pigmentation punch. It is thicker in consistency than the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind or Mary Kay Perfecting Concealer but thinner than the Make Up For Ever Full Cover, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD, and MAC Pro Longwear concealers.
Now I was colour matched to the shade Light as I wanted a concealer for all over my face, instead of a lighter shade for under my eyes. It comes in 9 other shades, ranging from very light to relatively deep. After testing it out for a couple of days, I can say that I definitely prefer it on my face than under my eyes. It stays put very well over blemishes or discolouration but I found it dried out my undereye area a bit plus caused some creasing in that area as well. It easily blends into the skin and doesn’t lose its pigmentation while you blend it out.
I have included a swatch of the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Light plus swatches of some of my other concealers so can see how the shade compares to others on the market.
Hope that this review of the Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer is helpful for the upcoming release!
til next time…
