Flowers are fully bloomed now with the warm weather and can serve as inspiration for nail art designs. This delicate floral nail art design is relatively easy to achieve and almost appears as if it is a watercolour painting.
To begin, apply two coats of a light purple nail polish (you can also use white as your base colour). Allow to dry before creating the floral design.
Using a fine nail art brush, create the stems of the flowers with a dark green polish. Go over some of the stems with a lighter green to add dimension.
For the flowers, take a dark purple polish on a small nail art brush and create small brushstrokes around the top of the stem. Follow up with a white polish, using the same technique but apply this colour sparingly so that you don’t over power the purple base. Finally, use the pastel purple that was used as the base colour to lightly go over the white brushstrokes. This softens the overall look.
To create more of a watercolour effect, you can take one of your nail art brushes and dip it into acetone or nail polish remover then lightly go over the lighter shades in the flowers.
Allow your design to dry and then apply a top coat.
