Mani Monday: Olympic Games

Olympic Games Nail Art Design

The 2016 Summer Olympic games have finally arrived and as you cheer on Team Canada you can sport this fun mani. Now if your hand isn’t that steady, you can forgo the Olympic rings but they are a really fun and colourful challenge.

Be inspired by the medals (which Canada will hopefully win plenty of) and paint your nails gold, silver and bronze.

To begin, paint your middle finger gold, your ring finger silver and your pinky finger bronze. Allow to dry.

For the Olympic rings, start with a white polish as the base colour and allow to dry fully. Then starting in the middle of your nail, create a black ring. Create a blue and red ring on either side of the black nail. Below this trio of rings, create a yellow and green ring. Go back over the black ring for any of the lighter colours (like the yellow) to make sure it is very bold and doesn’t get lost behind the other shades.

Allow the design to dry for 5 minutes then apply a top coat so your mani lasts for more of the Olympic games.

What are your favourite events to watch for the Olympics? I love the diving, swimming, gymnastics and track & field events.
