The waterfall technique is another easy to do nail art design that can be customized to incorporate any colour you want. This technique is simply creating lines that radiate down from the base of the nail and looks best if 3 colours are used.
To begin, paint your nails with the base colour of your liking. Allow this colour to dry once it is opaque.
Taking a piece of aluminum foil, place a few drops of your first shade onto it. Then with a small nail art brush create vertical lines starting at the base of the nail. Usually about 3-4 lines of each colour per nail is sufficient but tailor it to the size of your nails. Repeat these steps with the other 2 colours you chose. You may have to go over some lines again once you’ve finished all 3 colours just to make sure all the lines are visible.
Allow the design to dry and then apply a top coat.
Polishes Used: CND Brass Buttons, Avon Noir Emerald, Sally Hansen Ivy League, CND Leather Satchel
This easy waterfall nail art design would look great with monochromatic colours or a glitter polish as well!
