New In: Paula’s Choice and Acure Overnight Skincare*

Paula's Choice Radiance Renewal Mask Acure The Magical Wonderfluff Review

You would think that after trying all of this skincare over the past couple of months that my skin would be screaming at me to stop. Surprisingly, it’s not. And I think it’s because I’ve lucked out with some amazing products.

The latest two additions to my skincare experiments are the Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask and the Acure The Magical Wonderfluff. Both products that you apply before bed and leave on overnight.

The Acure The Magical Wonderfluff ($19.99) is an overnight hydrating booster mask. It contains argan and gardenia stem cells along with chlorella and argan oil along with a slew of organic extracts. Some of the extracts include acai berry, rosehip, chamomile, and gardenia.

It helps to nourish the skin and boost hydration while not leaving your skin feeling or looking greasy. I have used this as just a night cream but also love applying a thin layer on top of everything else as a last step. I wake up in the morning and my skin is hydrated, soft, and not a bit greasy. This will definitely become a staple during the dry winter months ahead.

I’ve even started using this as a day cream on those days that my skin needs more life. And it doesn’t break up my foundation at all or make me greasy throughout the day. Quickly absorbs but packs a hydration punch.

The Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask ($36 USD) is another overnight product but this one is much thinner and offers other benefits than the Acure mask. This promises to refresh the skin overnight all while hydrating and brightening. There are two ingredients, arbutin and uva ursi plant extracts, that help with brightening the skin (although this does take some time). And then there is also niacinamide (vitamin B3 and nicotinic acid) which helps improve skin’s appearance and tone and sodium hyaluronate (like hyaluronic acid but more compatible for your skin) which helps with hydration. Finally, there is magnesium ascorbyl phosphate which is a form of vitamin C to also help with brightening but also hydration. There is a ton of other great ingredients like willow bark extract, allantoin, and olive oil.

The first night that I tried the Paula’s Choice Radiance Renewal Mask I was a little skeptical. I applied it after all of my usual skincare routine steps and then headed to bed. When I woke up, my skin looked so refreshed which rarely ever happens due to my lack of sleep most nights. My skin was hydrated and glowing without any grease in sight. It also doesn’t make me break out (probably because it’s so light on the skin). I’ve been using this 2-3 times a week and continue to see great results. I think though to see the brightening results you would have to use it every night as that is one of the hardest things to target (at least when it comes to my skin).

Overall, these two overnight skincare products have made their way into my skincare routine with some great results whenever I use them. I love trying out products that are created with great ingredients in mind which definitely describes these latest two offerings.

til next time…
