A very quick post tonight but it features two gorgeous products from MAC that I picked up earlier this week. I went to MAC with a coworker to pick out a lipstick for her for our holiday party in a few weeks. I ended up pulling D for Danger lipstick for her to try and well I fell in love.
Of course my eye also caught a glimpse of something shiny which happened to be the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Doublegleam. That just had to come home with me too, especially after I swatched it.
I have swatches below of the two products. But as they are such new additions to my collection, I really only have first impressions of them.
D for Danger lipstick is a matte finish in a stunning red/berry/wine shade that is absolutely perfect for fall and winter. In the lip swatch below I do have a lip balm underneath so it appears more satin in finish than it would after a little bit of wear. It is so comfortable to wear with only a bit of that matte lipstick feeling on my lips (mainly when I rub my lips together). Some of it does come off when I eat and drink but the colour is still sticks around for several hours.
There are 4 newly permanent shades of the Extra Dimension Skinfinish and I picked up Doublegleam as it looked the best on my skin when I swatched it and had the nicest formulation and finish. Nothing chunky about this at all. Just the perfect light gold/champagne shade (the site says it’s a beige that breaks silver though) that gives such a nice glow to the skin. You can easily sheer this out (see face swatch) or make it very bold with a heavy hand and some setting spray. So excited to add another highlighter to my collection because I do feel I always just reach for Becca Champagne Pop.
Hope you enjoyed this quick post!
til next time…
