Swatched: Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette

Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette Swatches

It’s like the heavens opened when I finally received an email from Sephora saying that the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette was back in stock online. Me and a coworker immediately dashed to the site to each pick up one and then eagerly waited for a couple of days for them to arrive to our houses.

The rave reviews for this palette have been plentiful and from the moment I swatched it, I knew exactly why. Beyond that, I’ve been playing with this palette for the past week or so and have loved the looks created with it.

For the time being, I wanted to share the amazing swatches of the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette with you all, just in case you hadn’t seen them by now.

One thing that I have noticed about the palette thus far is the amount of kick up/powder once I dip my brush into a shadow. You can see from the photo below (post swatching) that a lot of excess product is left over in the pan. If I tap off the excess product on the brush, I don’t experience fall out so that’s a great thing but I don’t love how much is left in the pan.

Look for eye looks or this palette being featured in an upcoming tutorial plus I’m positive it will make its way into my March favourites video as well. Have you picked up the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette yet?

I think they do go hand in hand. As long as I don’t have a ton of fallout, I honestly don’t care all that much. But kick up and fallout….well then I’m not super happy.

The swatches are gorgeous and I’m kind of kicking myself for not getting it, but that kick up is insane! I thought maybe (when I saw the picture, before reading) that you’d done it to show texture or something, but then was like “no, no one would waste product like that…” Anyways, yes, this palette is stunning and I find it such a unique collection of shades!

Yeah I’m still taken aback by the kick up. But it’s so stunning that I don’t care. Plus how likely is it that I would actually finish all the shadows in there anyways haha
