Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks

If you’ve watched my recent IMATS and NYC Haul video, you’ll know that I picked up a few of the Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks. They were on the top of my shopping list and I was able to get all 4 shades that I wanted.

I’ve been trying these the past week or so and wanted to share my initial thoughts along with swatches of all 4 shades I picked up.

First off, the Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks probably have the nicest packaging ever. The frosted finish of the tube makes it look very chic but it is also very practical. You can see exactly what shade you are picking up which is much appreciated when you have overflowing drawers of makeup. The cap of the lipstick actually locks closed so you know that your precious lipsticks won’t dry out over time.

The doe foot applicator on these liquid lipsticks is probably one of the best I have ever tried. It’s relatively curved but the point at the top makes application super precise and easy at the same time.

The formula of these liquid lipsticks is a little bit thicker than your typical thin/true liquid lipstick. It almost has a mousse-like texture. Lastly, I love the scent of these lipsticks. It’s sweet and sugary and vanilla-y. Basically it’s perfect.

Now onto the swatches!

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks Truffle Swatch

Truffle – Easily one of the most popular Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks, this is the perfect caramel brown nude with a touch of rose undertones. Pigmentation is great and wear time is fantastic with this shade. I did have it wearing off in the corners of my mouth but thankfully because it’s a nude shade it wasn’t overly noticeable.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks Campfire Swatch

Campfire – One of the newest shades to be added to the liquid lipstick range, this is a stunning burnt sienna shade that still remains to be brighter and bold. It’s perfect not only for fall but all year round. Easy application and amazing pigmentation.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks Los Anjealous Swatch

Los Anjealous – Another one of the newest additions to the Dose of Colors liquid lipstick roster, this muted ruby red shade is easily my favourite of my haul. I can’t get over the pigmentation of Los Anjealous and I already know that this will become one of my staple bold lipsticks. Like Truffle, I also had wear at the corners of my mouth but with this shade it also bled out around those areas and I needed to clean that up midday.

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks Berry Me 2 Swatch

Berry Me 2 – When I saw this shade online, I fell in love with it. A berry-violet shade sounded like a dream come true. Oh boy did I fall out of love with it soooo quickly. The driest/least creamy of the bunch, Berry Me 2 was the hardest to apply and I hate the finished swatch. It’s patchy and somehow it looks like I used a different colour around the outside of my lips. Also, it started to bleed outside of my lip line shortly after application.

Overall, I am pretty impressed with the Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks. If you are looking for some shades to pick up soon, definitely get Los Anjealous. I don’t think you’ll  be disappointed, at all.

The Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks retail for $18 USD and can be found on the Dose of Colors website.

til next time…
