One of the big perks of attending IMATS is getting access to the latest products before they launch to the general public. That was the case for the Dose of Colors Supreme Glow Highlighters that launched at IMATS NYC in April. After seeing swatches, I knew I had to pick one up and see what it was like.
I decided on the Dose of Colors Supreme Glow Highlighter in Dream On which is a gorgeous frosty, pastel pink. I’ve been trying it ever since purchasing it and frankly, I’m in love.
First off, can we please take a moment for the packaging? The Dose of Colors Supreme Glow Highlighters are packaged in gorgeous black acrylic square compact that features a mirror on the inside. The art deco like logo and border on the outside of the highlighter are actually holographic and change colour in the light.
The highlighter itself has a gorgeous art deco embossed pattern that I honestly didn’t want to disturb at first. But oh boy is it ever worth digging into (well, lightly dusting) this highlighter. The formula is nicely pigmented but also buttery and ultra smooth. In the pan, it looks very pink but once you swatch it the frostiness comes through. You can achieve a very bold highlight if you use a denser brush and apply a few layers. But you can definitely sheer out the highlighter with a fan brush or lightly dusting it on the high points of your face. I have shown both options in the swatch photo below.
I love how easily the highlight blends out and the lovely glow it gives to the skin. It doesn’t highlight any texture on the skin nor does it have pieces of glitter in it (hallelujah!).
There are 5 shades of the Dose of Colors Supreme Glow Highlighter available and they retail for $28USD on the Dose of Colors website.
til next time…
