CND Creative Play Playland Collection

I’m back with another nail polish collection! This time I’m swatching up the CND Creative Play Playland collection. This collection has 8 nail polishes, inspired by a carnival, and perfect for spring and summer. You can find the CND Creative Play Playland collection in select salons.

I have swatched all 8 shades and used 2 coats for each swatch unless otherwise noted.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Candycade

Candycade – This sheer pink polish is great if you love simplistic, clean nails. Very reminiscent of Bubble Bath by OPI but more on the pink side. You definitely have to watch out with application for this shade, so keep the coats very thin and layer up 3 of them to get the opacity you see in the swatch.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Candycade Look No Hands!

Look No Hands! (Over Candycade) – This gorgeous pink and silver glitter top coat looks amazing over Candycade. The hexagonal pink glitter mixed with the small silver glitter that shift colour in the light are the ultimate girly glitter polish. You only need one coat to achieve the look in the swatches. I always try to slowly wipe one side of the brush off while letting more of the clear polish run off in general. This way you don’t have a thick layer of polish going onto your nail and it helps to concentrate the glitter too.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Amuse-mint

Amuse-mint – This combination of a robin’s egg blue and minty blue is so vibrant and perfect for the warmer weather. Application was great, mainly because of the amazing pigmentation of this polish. It’s great to find a lighter shade of blue polish that has so much pigmentation as it is hard to find sometimes.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Amuse-mint Bling Toss

Bling Toss (Over Amuse-mint) – The silver, holographic sister to Look No Hands! reminds me of little diamonds all over my nails. Like the other glitter top coat in the collection, you just need one coat to get a lot of glitter on the nail but if you want to go crazy, add another layer for some ultimate sparkle.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Hold on Bright!

Hold on Bright! – I honestly have very little luck with orange polishes. I find that a lot of them aren’t as vibrant as they are in the bottle and instead dry down to a duller hue. Well this polish is definitely the exception to that. Super bright and holds onto its vibrancy. Application was super easy and I love how creamy the finished look is.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Carou-celery

Carou-celery – OMG this is definitely my most favourite shade from the Playland collection. Hands down. Is it difficult to work with? Yeah, kinda. But once you layer up 3 thin coats of this shade, you are left with an ultra vibrant lime green/neon shade. I can’t wait to wear this on my toes and in the middle of the hot summer season.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Aquaslide

Aquaslide – This bright, medium blue polish was a tad bit deceptive. The first coat was so sheer it actually surprised me. Even more to my surprise was how opaque the polish became with the second coat. I really love the creamy finish of this polish.

CND Creative Play Playland Collection Swatch Review Cherry-Glo-Round

Cherry-Glo-Round – This bright fuchsia pink polish has fine iridescent shimmer throughout. It was a pretty sheer polish and I needed 3 coats to get full opacity. You can get away with 2 coats but I was still able to see a bit of my nail through it.
