You probably all know by now that I love trying out skincare with a ton of science backing it. Paula’s Choice definitely ensures that the products they create contain great ingredients and actually work.
The latest two products I’ve been trying out are the Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster and the Paula’s Choice Resist Omega+ Complex Serum.
The Paula’s Choice Resist C15 Super Booster ($49 USD for 0.67 oz) contains 15% vitamin C as well as vitamin E and ferulic acid. This high concentration of vitamin C helps brighten your skin and even out your skin tone. The vitamin E and ferulic acid are antioxidants that work with peptides to diminish the signs of aging including fine lines, texture, and loss of firmness. This booster is a very thin, liquid formulation that you can either apply to your skin on its own or add it to your moisturizer or serum. I prefer adding 2-3 drops to my moisturizer as it saves time and I feel like the product absorbs into my skin faster. I haven’t seen a ton of difference in my skin but I did find out the hard way to not use this with an AHA. One night I mixed this booster with my NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal Cream and I woke up with an almost orange hue on my face and palms of my hands. Once I washed my face and hands, it disappeared but it was definitely strange. Finally, just remember to store this in a dark place as vitamin C is not light stable.
The Paula’s Choice Resist Omega+ Complex Serum ($36 USD for 1 oz) is hands down one of my most favourite skincare products I have tried in a while. This cream serum contains omega 3, 6, and 9s which help to replenish skin and especially helps dull, dehydrated skin. There are also skin-identical ceramides and hydrating ingredients (sodium hyaluronate and trehalose) which further help to replenish the skin and restore skin’s health. Like the Super Booster, the Omega+ Complex Serum also contains vitamin C to help with brightening the skin. My skin absolutely drank this serum up. It absorbs super quickly and leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated, and comfortable. This has become a go-to product in my daily skincare routine and I use about 2 pumps every morning and night. I fully understand why this new product from Paula’s Choice has become a quick best-seller.
If I had to only recommend one of the latest products from Paula’s Choice Resist line, I would definitely have to pick the Paula’s Choice Resist Omega+ Complex Serum.
