In the beauty trifecta (makeup, skincare, and haircare), I definitely put my hair last all the time. I just can’t do those cool hairstyles you see on Pinterest and never make it a priority. However, I just got my hair cut (you will see it’s debut during my trip to LA if you follow me on social media) and I want to make sure it always looks its best.
For the last little while (pre haircut), I’ve been testing out the Revlon Professional Double or Nothing line of products. One of them made my 2017 Favourites and one has become a very fast favourite with my new hairstyle.
This line of products is such a great idea. One product. Two functions. I’ll breakdown each of the 4 products I’ve been trying below.
My new, fast favourite is the Style Masters Double or Nothing Endless Control ($19.95). This is both a hair controller (gets rid of that frizz and chaos) and a flexible fluid wax that can be restyled throughout the day. If you have a shorter hairstyle that you want to be piece-y, you need this product. It tames frizz and flyaways for me but also gives a great texture to my hair. It’s a controlled texture which is so hard to achieve. It isn’t crispy and doesn’t leave my hair feeling dirty.
Next up is the Style Masters Double or Nothing Brightastic ($19.95). This is a pre-styler which makes hair more manageable and is also an anti-frizz serum which makes hair shiny and silky. This is the one I have reached for the least but I do love the shine that it gives my hair. Your hair doesn’t look oily at all and you can use it on damp or dry hair depending on what you want it to do to your hair.
Okay, this is hands down my favourite product of the line, the Style Masters Double or Nothing Reset ($19.95). My most favourite dry shampoo I have ever tried. It is both a volumizer and a dry shampoo which gets rid of oil in your hair but also adds a big dose of volume too. It never makes my hair white and doesn’t build up too much in my hair. I love how much volume it gives my hair and how it refreshes my hair without having to use too much product.
And lastly, the Style Masters Double or Nothing Lissaver ($19.95). Not only is this a heat protectant spray but it is also a temporary straightener. Now what the heck does that mean!? It basically makes straightening your hair easier by reducing the number of strokes of the iron to achieve your desired looks. It protects your hair from temperatures up to 230°C (about 450°F) and helps prevent split ends. Again, this does not make my hair oily at all but I didn’t really see it help straighten my hair but I will keep trying it out.
All of the Revlon Professional Style Masters Double or Nothing line is available in salons across Canada and products are $19.95 each.
